We made our first visit to Farmer's Market this week. Aubrey was so excited to get some peaches. We ended up leaving with peaches, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, a jar of honey and some honey sticks. A very successful trip!

Naming our kids {Austin}

When I found out I was pregnant with baby number three, I thought it would be fun to not find out what we what our little bundle of joy was until he/she was born. It took some convincing but Conrad finally agreed.

Let me tell you, even though it was my idea not to find out, it was soooo hard to have that self control to tell the tech that we weren't finding out. Conrad wasn't able to come to any appointments because of his work schedule. So I could have found out and kept it a secret {except I would totally have blown it}

I really thought that we were having another girl. There was a teensy part of me that thought boy. So, since we were waiting until the big day we had to have a boy and a girl name picked out.  We deciced to stick with the A theme. While I was pregnant with Allyson, we decided on Aiden as our boy.

Now backstory,  I LOVED the name Austin. When I was growing up there was a little boy that lived on our street and his name was Austin. {fact: Austin was Evan Ellington's brother. And sadly while looking this up, I found out that Austin Ellingson passed away in 2008 from a drug overdose}  He was the cutest little guy ever. I had mentioned the name to Conrad and he has a cousin Austin that lived in Arizona and he just kinda shot it down. So, my second choice was Aiden. At some point Conrad gave the green light to Austin as our boy name. We decided on James as his middle name, after Conrad.

We really struggled with an A girl name. We decided on Aeryn and looking at it now, I'm glad we didn't get to use it. The spelling... really? But we were really trying to get a name we liked and for it to fit. I like Erin not Aeryn.

So, Mr Austin James came into the world 4 days late and has forever changed our lives, in the best way. Austin totally fits him.

He's my adorable little Austin James.

We took a walk to the campus near our house after dinner last night. My hope was to wear them out before bath and bed. I ended up having such a great time. I saw Aubrey riding her bike while Allyson  pedaled behind her on her 3 wheeler & Austin was happy to hold my hand as we walked. The kids rose their bikes and ran all over. I remember the days when a walk with all 3 around the block seemed impossible and here we were riding somewhere. I watched as they stuck their hands in water and  giggled with excitement as the fountain shot out a new steam of water.
I sat there and soaked in this moment.

The silliness. The laughter. The excitement.

My babies are growing up.  Snapped a picture to hoping to somehow freeze time. I knew that this has to at least be our weekly picture. We raced the sun home, bathed the kids,  did our little nightly routine and I didn't hear a peep out of them!

I hope all my mama friends have a wonderful Mother's Day tomorrow!

Momma, that's too hot for me. It will make me a dragon.  On trying Kung pao chicken.

Mom, do you really know where we are driving to?

It's cold outside, can I go swimming?

Summer Bucket List

Summer is right around the corner.

The hot California weather has already found out us and we've had to turn on the AC a few times in the last couple days. It got me thinking that it was time to plan out a Summer Bucket List!! We only have 17 days until we are out of school, WAHOO!!!

Aubrey had so many ideas. Lots of them involved turning things into a party. A party at the park. Water  balloon party. A party at the blueberry picking field. This girl's a party animal. We had fun planning and she even helped me on the computer to make our list.

Here's what we came up with!

We have this up on our fridge and can't wait to let the summer fun begin!

Have you made a Summer bucket list? What do you have planned this summer?

An afternoon treat. We parked instead of going through the drive thru. Aubrey was thrilled that she got to order our drinks. We just sat in the car listening to music and enjoying the afternoon.
