Christmas Morning Recap

This Christmas was so much fun this year! Conrad and I actually slept in past 7, that's some kind of Christmas miracle. Allyson and Aubrey were up around 6 and I'm guessing my sisters were up then too.

Aubrey screamed all Christmas morning. She would just yell with such excitment. My poor ears but it was so fun to see her be excited for everyone.

Santa brought her a fun Hello Kitty nail kit in her stocking, what was Santa thinking?

Aubrey had a few things on her Christmas list but one of which she's wanted and asked for since Allyson's birthday {when Ally got a puppy dream lite} is a Hello Kitty Dream Lite because it will help her sleep. She won't be scared of the dark anymore, which she is afraid. So she was one happy little girl when she opened that.

Allyson laughed and wanted us to open her Minions right away.

I really wanted to get the girls American Girl dolls for Christmas, but they didn't fit in the budget. We did find these Our Generation dolls at Target. We got a great deal on them on Black Friday, so that made me happy. Aubrey was pretty excited about it, because she's been asking for an AG doll for awhile and she honestly doesn't know the difference so it's a win. Allyson however isn't too thrilled with the doll. After we took it out of the package, I stood it next to her and she said NO, I don't like it and kicked it over ... well then ...

a kitchen!!

After presents were all opened, Daddy was busy building a tool bench and kitchen. I was making breakfast. This was our first breakfast at home. In the years past we have gone over to Conrad's Moms house for breakfast but this year it seemed right to start having it at our house with our little family.

After stuffing our faces with yummy cinnamon rolls, eggs and bacon. We did some more playing and showing off our new gadgets. We stayed in our jammies, best tradition ever, packed up and headed over to spend the afternoon with the rest of Conrad's family. I'm pretty sure I've said it before but my mom and my sisters come over to Kathy's for dinner too. It is amazing to have all of my family in one place celebrating the birth of Jesus.

I have a couple fun pictures from Kathy's house, I'll post in a another post. And I realized way after the kids had begun to melt down that we didn't take a picture as a family, bummer.

This Christmas was so fun. To see the excitement and relive Christmas through my children, was so awesome. The magicalness of Santa. The excitement as we celebrated the birth of Jesus. {Allyson was a bit ticked that we weren't having a Minion Party for Jesus, poor girl just couldn't understand why..} The excitement as they are ready to tear into a gift. The joy that Aubrey had in giving gifts. I could have got nothing for Christmas and it would have been fine and long as I was able to be there with my family and see these moments unfold.
