Pirate Princesses

Arrrghh Matey!

Me beauty told me that September 19th was Pirate Day at school and they were able to dress up. Me hearties wanted to dress up as Izzy from Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  This is what we came up with.

Pretty close. She was one happy matey.

Of course little sis needed to wear her pirate gear too.

Pixie Dust Away!

We had pretty much every except the purple pants. We headed to Once Upon a Child and found brand new Carter's pants for Aubrey for $1.50 with tags! Allyson's pants were a little more, six bucks more. They are pretty cute little Levi's so it's a win. I covered their rain boots in brown felt. {Poor Aubrey, I bought the wrong size boots, they are giant on her and she still wanted to wear them.} We had some pink long sleeve shirts and I cut the arms to look more pirate-y. The Pixie dust pouches are yellow felt with quinoa inside, wrapped with some brown ribbon. We had to buy a 2nd bandana for Aubrey. We had Allyson's and it matched perfectly with her bright pink shirt. We had a Hobby Lobby trip and bought Aubrey's and I painted on the white loops, just like Izzy's. I scored major good Mom points with her when I did that.

The girls love their pirate outfits and have worn them quite a few times since Pirate Day. One thing to work on for next year... talking like a pirate ... we failed at that!

I'm shovin' off! {bye!}
