First field trip

Aubrey had her first field trip ever, she got to the pumpkin patch! She was excited. She was going to the farm that we have visited in years past with MOPS. This trip was different because she was going to be riding the school bus. That's one thing she's looked forward to doing since school started. {She thought she was going to be riding the bus to school.}

All ready to go in her cute little Halloween shirt.

While Aubrey was off to the pumpkin patch, I thought it would be fun to head to a different pumpkin patch with the littles. Ok, I honestly was freaking out and wanted to drive behind the buses and hang out at the pumpkin and keep my eye on her, so this was the next best idea.

Little Sis was sporting her Halloween shirt too.

Poor little Austin was not feeling well this trip. He HATED the corn pit.

Allyson loved mattress jumping with Seth.

Allyson loved checking out the cows.

Some more mattress bouncing.

I think it was a successful pumpkin patch trip.

We were all excited to see sister's bus pull into the driveway.

Aubrey had a great first field trip and the best part?

You guessed it, the bus ride. :)

Sickies

The sickness has hit our house. Last weekend Allyson started not feeling well. She had a fever all weekend. Monday we headed to the DR just to check her out. To ease my mind. She was fine just fighting something. Over the next few days she started to get a runny nose and a cough.

Thursday was Austin's 6 month checkup and it just so happen to be right during Allyson's nap time. She was just miserable.

Do you like her Christmas jammies in October?

My little man got a fever after having his shots. He stayed warm for 2 days. It was just awful. He was so miserable. Saturday his fever was gone but now he's getting sick. Sick kids are not fun. Austin and Allyson both want me to hold them. Times like these are when I really need a clone.

Allyson enjoyed some Elmo while I was helping Aubrey get ready for bed.

This is my little guy now. He's so stuffed up. He sneezes and snot comes flying out in crazy amounts. He coughs. That sound is just heart breaking. He wakes because he can't breathe. He's laying on me and actually sleeps. He's more upright so he can breathe better. I hate seeing my kids sick.

Some how Aubrey has managed to stay healthy. I pray it stays that way.
Friday before school

I thought I was going to be lucky enough to escape the sickness. Sadly, I think I'm coming down with it too. Nooo!!! Mommy's can't get sick. It just shouldn't be allowed to happen. Hopefully some sleep will help this mommy feel better.

Lighting McQueen

Let me tell you about my sweet Aubrey.
A few weeks ago Aubrey came home and told me that the playdoh in her classroom had dried up because some kids forgot to put the lid on tightly. She wanted to bring in some of her playdoh. We have a TON of play doh. I made sure to let her know once we give her class the play doh it's not ours any more. She understood and happily took it school. I haven't heard anything about it since. Other than her teacher and her class thanked her.

This morning she asked if she could bring one of her Cars car into school for her class to keep. I didn't really understand the whole story but I just got that she wanted to bring in her car to have during center time. We went over the whole giving it away means we can't ask for it back. Other kids would be playing with it. She understood. She said she just wanted others to be able to have a car to play with. So sweet huh?

I love that she has such a giving heart.
That she cares about others.
She likes the toys that she's given away. It's not like they aren't played with. They are.
She cares about her classmates and wants to share the joy in these things.

I'm one proud Momma!

2u2 Tuesday

How old are they?
A. Austin -  6 months
B. Allyson - almost TWO!! Party Planning time!

What activities are going on this week? Our usual errands. Parent/Teacher conference today.  Austin's 6 month appointment.

What challenges are we dealing with this week? Allyson got pretty sick Saturday night. Sunday she was miserable. Her fever got up to 101.5. She laid on Conrad all day. We went to the DR Monday just to check her out. No ear infection and negative for strep so just going to hope that she gets better. So it's been tough having her be extra clingy and since Conrad is at work it's just me. This is when I need a clone!

Any milestones reached this week?
How are you feeling about having 2u2 at this point

Likes: Austin loves being on the floor near the girls. He loves watching them. When he can crawl they are going to be in some trouble!

Dislikes: Missing out on sleep still. Still still still.

Monday waiting for the DR

Austin the good thief. He stole Allyson's sandwich

Aubrey snuggling with Cookie Monster.
It used to be Conrad's. Both girls went nuts!

Snuggles

look at that adorable ponytail!

Such a sweetie.
He'll sleep in his carseat

Facebook break

Last Monday I got on Facebook and I had this feeling. A feeling I really didn't like and couldn't shake. I realized what it was. Facebook was making me feel sad. I know that sounds so silly but it's how I feel. So I deactivated my account and decided to take a facebook break. I didn't have a certain time frame in mind. I figured I'd give it a week-ish and see how I felt. Monday came and I decided that I wasn't ready for facebook. I had logged on to my account once and that was only on my phone that way I could  access my Pinterest, I forgot my password! So I logged on to Pinterest and deactivated my account again. I haven't looked back! I am really not regretting my decision.

There is really no point to this post other than if you noticed I wasn't on facebook that's why!

2u2 Tuesday

How old are they?
A. Austin -  6 months
B. Allyson - almost TWO!!

What activities are going on this week? Getting Aubrey's Halloween costume (I'm just as excited as she is!! ) Winco, Aubrey has school pictures, Finally! I'm excited about those too. Winco, a some random errands.

What challenges are we dealing with this week? The teething monster is still camping out at our house. A bottom tooth is right there just needs to pop through. Since the teething monster is here means I'm still lacking in the sleep department.

Any milestones reached this week? Nothing major. Allyson's adding more words and sounds. Austin is rocking away on his hands and knees and of course doing some face plants.

How are you feeling about having 2u2 at this point?

23/30 {Hobbies}

23. List your top 3 hobbies and why you love them.

Crafting
Oh how I really love to be able to do something crafty. If it's cutting with my Cricut, using the hot glue gun or sewing with my Singer it all just makes me happy (for the most part). I love having that me time and having something to show for it after.

Being Mamarazzi
I love love love taking pictures of my kids. I love capturing little moments, big moments and silly ones. Whether it's with my big camera or just with my iPhone I can't seem to not snap a picture of someone. I love having pictures that they can look back on remember that moment in time.

Reading
I do enjoy reading but after Allyson has been born it's been hard actually sitting down to read. I felt like I never had time. When really I was just too tired to ever remember what I read. I am still tired all the time but I have decided to get back into it. My current read is Shepherding a Child's Heart

22/30 {Where do you see yourself?}

22. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 15 years?

5 years...

Austin will have started Kindergarten so I will be kid free for a small chunk of the morning... oh I'll be catching up on SLEEP!! I'm only half joking.

This is where I'm not sure. Part of me wants to go back to school. I mean what am I going to do while my kids are in school? Craft? Sew? Probably have a clean and organized house.

Hopefully we will have made a trip to Disneyland.
I'm sure I will have been camping. (it's been two glorious years of not having to go!)

10 years...
Hopefully I'll be caught up on sleep :)
I want to be in a house that we own.
I can't wrap my head around the thought of Aubrey being 15!! Oh the mixed feelings. Doing more grown up things with her. Yet her being in high school and teaching her to drive. Teenage girl attitude and drama. Oh goodness!
Maybe another Disney trip :)

15 years...
Conrad and I will have been married 22 years. WOW!! We will have celebrated a 20 year anniversary.
Aubrey will be 20. Allyson will be almost 17. Austin will be 15. Wowzer! I don't want my littles to ever grow up and sheesh this is like no joke grown up. They kids won't "need" me like they do now. Holy smokes this is hitting me like a ton of bricks.

21/30 {Superpower}

21. If you could have one superpower, what would it be and what would you do with it first?

I don't know if it's a super power or how to make it be a super power but I want to clone myself or being in 2 places at once! I know that so doesn't sound fun. I want to be able to be with Austin, Aubrey and Allyson and not miss out. Yet be able to go have a super clean house. Oh the first thing I would do would be get caught up on sleep while doing my day to day stuff.

Ok so that's not fun.  What would your super power be?

20/30 {Childhood Memories}

20. Describe 3 significant memories from your childhood.

1. I remember going to the LA County Fair every year with my friend Tiffany and her Dad. Eating all of the yummy greasy food, seeing the exhibits and the RIDES!! Oh so much fun.

2. Playing outside. Oh man we spent hours out side. Playing in the front yard, back yard, or a friend's house. My parents always made us go play outside. We had so much fun too. It's funny a while back we visited the house that I grew up in and it all seemed so small. When I was little the front yard was HUUUUGE. Seeing it again as an adult it wasn't at all like I had remembered. Lots of memories being outside.

3. After my parents got divorced things got tough. My mom ALWAYS tried to make the best of any and every situation. She thought of us kids first. She went without so many times just so we could have whatever.

2u2 Tuesday

How old are they?

A. Austin -  6 months
B. Allyson - almost TWO!!

What activities are going on this week? Library this morning. Austin slept and Allyson was acting so weird about people. MOPS this week. A few yard sales this weekend and cleaning house in between. Fun fun!! Friday is no school so I'm trying to think of something fun to do.

What challenges are we dealing with this week?
Since writing about cloth diapers and how Allyson isn't in them full time. I've dived in and done it. Her poop is SO gross. She goes wayyy more than Austin. ugh but we are doing it.

Any milestones reached this week?
A. Austin -  He's on all fours and rocking back and forth. Crawling is soooo close. Arghhh... I can't imagine him crawling around.

B. Allyson - says Aubrey but it's more like Aubwee. It's the sweetest thing from my little monster!! She switches between calling her sissy and Aubwee.

How are you feeling about having 2u2 at this point?
Likes: Allyson and Austin are "playing" more. She's caring about him a lot more.
Dislikes: Always someone needing something. Seriously need a clone.
