37 weeks!!

How far along: 37 weeks and 2 days. 19 days to go!!

Next appointment: Today. My appointment was scheduled for yesterday. Conrad had taken the day off so he could come. He hasn't been able to make it to an appointment and feels bad about so we were both really looking forward to it. I got a call that morning saying that one DR called out sick and the other would be in surgery. Since I'm 37 weeks I need to be seen by a OB and not an NP. I was one upset pregnant momma. I cried. Cried that my appointment got changed. Now I have an afternoon appointment (which I hate!!) and my dear husband can't come along. :(

Any new aches/pains: Just a lot of pressure. Being uncomfortable all the time.

Sleep: It's pretty much crummy sleep after 2-3 hours.

Best moment this week: Definitely having Conrad home for 3 days. So nice!

Movement: ALL of the time.

Labor signs: Last night I was having some pretty good contractions. I thought that it could possibly be it then because I started to time them ... they went away.

Food cravings: Chocolate!!

What I miss: Sleeping. Sleeping good at night. Sleeping in. My little Aubrey decided to wake up at 5:55 yesterday. Oh I sent her back to sleep. Wayyy to early to be up. Then Allyson woke up at 6:40. This morning Allyson decided that 6:30 was a better time to wake up. I had been up since 4:00 with a headache. I just would like to sleep. I'm so looking forward to nap time today.

How big is baby: Stalk of Swiss Chard
Average size: Around 19 inches, about 6.5 pounds.
Congratulations! You've got what is officially considered a full-term babyeven with three weeks to go. That doesn't mean he's finished growing — in fact, he's still packing on about a half pound a week (at this age, the average fetus weighs about 6.5 pounds). That makes it a little crowded in your uterus, so he’s probably not kicking as much, though he’s probably stretching, rolling a bit, and wiggling (all of which you’ll be able to feel!). Right now, your little superstar is busy rehearsing for his big debut, inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid (to get the lungs ready for that first breath), sucking his thumb (to prepare for that first suckle of milk), blinking, and turning from side to side.

Me and my Red Chard because I have NO CLUE what this even is. lol.

Nesting

I think I'm nesting pretty bad. Ive cleaned this house as best I can with these two little tornadoes I live with. I have taken some little girl outfits out of the bin. I have a few boy clothes that will just need washing. I have diapers & wipes ready to go.

New PNP all set up!! & I set it all up by myself.

On Friday the post office dropped off a nice package from Amazon.
Doesn't it look like the box is smiling?

It's a new nursing pillow!!! With my girls I used the boppy & I really wasn't too impressed. After my 75 thousand visits to the LC with Allyson they recommended a brestfriend pillow. I never bought one, I just dealt with my boppy. This time it was one thing i really wanted to get. Amazon had this super cute one for cheaper than BRU had. Win win right?

Of course my Aubrey thought it was great. I'm glad I have someone that thinks things like this are awesome.

This afternoon I set up the bassinet in our room. (the sheet that goes over that plastic pad is in the washer)

Busted out the baby swing & put it together myself!

I went Target yesterday to get some travel stuff to take to the hospital. I love the little travel size bottles. They really make me smile. Yes, I'm crazy.

The Saturday that Conrad & I had to ourselves we did some shopping & one thing I wanted to get was a new pair of comfy pants to lounge in after baby comes. The is my coming home outfit :)

And my hospital bag is packed and ready!!! Got my cute outfit. Baby's outfit, my travel size stuff, nursing bra & tank, socks. A note to get my phone charger, camera & charger for camera battery.

I'm so ready for A3 to be here!

Baby Clothes and baby randomness

I'm having trouble with the not knowing what this kiddo is. All I want to do is shop for boy clothes.
I've been doing the girl clothes thing for 4 1/2 years now, I'm ready to mix it up. While at Target with Conrad we picked up this cute little outfit. Aww!!

and a few days later at Target Aubrey and I picked out this little outfit. Aubrey thought it was great to pick out an outfit. When we got some socks she talked it a high pitch squeaky voice about how teeny tiny they were.

Ok so we had to by the baby something if she is a she.

and of course some diapers!!! I opened them when I got home... oh how tiny they are. Cue my squeaky voice.

Last Saturday Conrad and I got to have a whole day to ourselves. His mom watched the girls in the morning and my mom and sister at night. It was amazing. We did some shopping. We got the girls Big Sister shirts, crazy to think my little Allybug is going to be a big sister. We got a matching little sister onesie and a little brother onesie. They have bows to match, even little Miss if she's girl. We bought a new pack and play, which I set up by myself. I got myself a cute pair of VS pants. We ate lunch and dinner in peace. So amazing to eat a meal while it's hot! We had a great time together.

36 weeks down and 4 weeks to go!

How far along: 36 weeks 4 days

Next appointment: Monday

Any new aches/pains: Leg cramps, pain in my hip, and pressure from the baby.

Sleep: It's pretty much  the same. I sleep well for the first few hours at night then I have to get up to pee and it's down hill from there. Rolling over is impossible too

Best moment this week:  Getting to see our little mystery baby again on an ultrasound. Baby is head down yay!!

Movement: ALL of the time.

Labor signs: Contractions are getting stronger but nothing lasting. At my last appoitnment my cervix was soft and  not "really dilated". Whatever that means. I'm exciting though because that's progress and i'll take it. With the girls there was nothing happening at 36 weeks so maybe this little one will make a some what early appearance.

Food cravings: Chocolate, cheese and crackers. It's our new nightly thing.

What I miss: Sleeping... good sleep.

Your baby's the size of a coconut!
She's still in the 17.2- to 18.7-inch and 4.2- to 5.8-pound range and continues to beef up.

Here's me and the little coconut

and my sweet little Aubrey.

She loves taking pictures with fruit... Silly girl!!

Mall time fun!

*I thought I posted this but I guess my phone doesn't like to post it.

We met up with a friend today and played for a bit at the mall playground. Ugh I know, I know, a million and a half germs. We were there before the mall opened so there weren't too many other kids so I'm hoping that meant a clean-er play area? I can hope right?

Little Ally ventured out and wanted to play which totally surprised me!

We made a visit to the Disney Store, Miss Aubrey's favorite place to go. Allyson fell in love with this cute little puppy from 101 Dalmatians. So of course there was a BOGO sale on stuffed animals so the girls each got to pick something out.

Of all things I thought Miss Aubrey would pick, she picks the peas from Toy Story 3. She cracks me up.

Quest, Sonic and the park

*Ugh blogger on my phone has worked until today and I had already put the pics up and everything and then it wouldn't freakin' upload. Ugh technology!!

I mentioned that I would be making a visit to Quest because I'm not gaining weight and they want to check my thyroid. So after the appointment it just happened to be happy hour at Sonic. We surprised Conrad with a drink and of course Aubrey and I got something too. I really love Sonic!

On the way home from Sonic Aubrey asked if we could stop by the park and since we didn't have anything else to do and the weather was pretty nice, I decided it was a great idea.

We got there and I put Allyson in the swing and she did ok. I put Aubrey in the swing next to her and Ally smiled so I snapped a pic.

Gave Aubrey a push and she laughed, Ally laughed. I barely gave Ally a push and ... this is what happen...

Freaked out. Ok so my kid hates swings... um who in the world doesn't like to swing?!?! So we decided to be done with the swings. Aubrey went down a slide that had a puddle at the bottom within the the first 7 minutes we were there. Her poor butt was soaked!! But she was a trooper and wanted to stay and play. Not without a picture first.

We stayed for about 35 minutes then headed home. I think beside the swing drama Allyson had a good time. I know Aubrey did because that was all she could talk about. I was the best mom in the world for the rest of the day!

34 weeks

How far along: 34 weeks 3 days

Next appointment: Feb 21

Any new aches/pains: Just a lot of pressure. Contractions and the baby moving all of the time!

Sleep: It's the same as last week. I fall asleep pretty quickly and get a few hours of good sleep then the rest of the night is just crummy sleep. Waking up to pee. I've started to get cramps in my legs.

Best moment this week:  Filing our taxes!! YAY!

Movement: ALL of the time. Yesterday the baby was kicking and punching so hard, I was really in pain.

Labor signs: Few contractions here and there but nothing regular or lasting.

Food cravings: Chocolate and cheese and crackers.

What I miss: Sleeping.

Each week when I buy a fruit or veggies Aubrey asks me if we are going to take pictures with it. I'm sure that people that hear her think that we are nuts. When I took my picture this week I was thinking to myself "I cannot believe I take pictures each week with fruit" I really am crazy!

How big is baby: Cantaloupe

Average size: Almost 18 inches, 4.75 pounds.

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_O8NfknZEo1Q/TFohKKR_2LI/AAAAAAAAAKU/2U6GQo7PhfE/s1600/34-cantaloupe.jpgWhat's new this week? The vernix (the white coating protecting your baby’s skin) is getting thicker. This week, a boy's testicles start making their way down from his abdomen to their final destination: his scrotum (look out below!). While about three to four percent of boys are born with undescended testicles, it's nothing to worry about — they usually head downtown before junior turns a year old. In other baby-related developments, those tiny fingernails have probably reached the tips of his fingers by now — and getting ready for that first postpartum manicure. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.

34 week appointment

I had usually OB appointment on Tuesday. You know the fun stuff. Get there pee in a cup, wait forever to be called back into the room just to wait some more and see the OB for 2 minutes. Yep that kind of appointment. I am thankful that this has been a healthy pregnancy but I just hate waiting. Every thing is looking pretty good. Baby is measuring right at 34 weeks. Baby's heart rate is good. I'm having some contractions so my body is getting ready just has to hold out a little longer. (I still think this one is going to come late but hey I can hope right?)

The only thing is I haven't gained any weight since the beginning of December. I haven't lost but I haven't gained. I did change a few things at the beginning of the year, I cut out caffeine and soda, I don't know how I am surviving these two kids but that's another story. I was preparing myself to have gestational diabetes so I added it more veggies and cut back on portion sizes but not all the time and not that much. So just a precaution they are checking my thyroid to make sure everything working right. So looks like I'll be making a visit to Quest soon. Fun! They also recommended me getting a flu shot since I still haven't. She told me this horror story of a mom who got the flu right before going into labor and long story short the mom ended up in ICU and in a coma for 6 weeks. Didn't get to see her little bundle of joy until he was 6 weeks old. Sad huh? The thing is I hardly ever get sick sick. I can't tell you the last time I got sick that wasn't pregnancy related. Ugh! We'll see what I decide to do.

Family Binder

On my quest of getting and staying organized this year, I have come to the conclusion that I need to have a family binder.  I had one in the past but it didn't last long. It looks like it did from high school, cute and pretty on the front and then inside was just an organized mess of papers.

At a Mom's Night In for MOPS a friend shared her Control binder. It was amazing, seriously. A place for calendars, schedules, a place for medical information, meal planning and more. She had some printables from Mandi Cresswell. These are super cute. I've been working on getting my stuff into the binder and actually planning out the day. There's a monthly calendar and a day by day. I printed off five copies of the daily pages and have those in a sheet protector and use a wet erase marker. It saves me having to print off a million paper. I am really loving having all of my stuff in one place.

Getting and staying organized is awesome.  I love it!

365+1... Catch up post

I've been pretty good at taking pictures with my camera and if I haven't I know I have them on my phone! YAY! Here are the pictures from this last week.

Good night Aubrey!

Camping out in the living room.

Jan 28, 2012

Saturday night Conrad and I were talking about the playroom/living room. We have talked about switching it around. Our entertainment center is massive though and since I'm pregnant and can't lift anything (not like I would have been much help not pregnant). So Sunday Cody came over after church and helped Conrad switch it around while I supervised. I really like the change.
Jan 29 2012

My precious child. I have her trained, we have our bedtime routine and we read a book. She asks almost every night "Mom, can you take a picture of me and the book?"
Jan 30, 2012

For Christmas Conrad gave me a gift card to Hobby Lobby with a note that said I could use this for a kid free trip to Hobby Lobby. Two gifts in One!! I got to wander around the store without having to take care of a child. I got some fabric to make a cover for our Kindle, can't wait to get started on this. Thanks love for the awesome Hobby Lobby trip!!
Jan 31, 2012

Someone knew it was nap time and walked over to the drawer where we keep her bottles and grabbed a lid and bottle. She walked to her favorite spot and tried to put the lid on the bottle. She sat there for awhile trying but got it on for the most part. *sigh* she's getting too big!!
February 1st, 2012
I made Aubrey and Allyson some cute Valentine bags for their chairs. Each morning until Valentine's day I'm trying to put something in Aubrey's bag. Yesterday it was a set of Valentine cups. Today it was just a little love note. She loves going and checking her bag every morning.
February 2nd, 2012

I made this for Conrad, super cute huh? Thanks to Pinterest and the Crafting Chicks for this awesome find.

February 3rd, 2012

Happy 15 months to my sweet little Allybug!! She thought it would be fun to celebrate by bouncing in her jumper. Silly kid.
