What a day!

I think I got an extra shot of hormones today. I've been a sobbing mess. I've been crying and stressing over things all day today. Aubrey was my little ray of sunshine today. One of the times she saw that I had tears rolling down my face she said to me "Mom are you crying because I'm so beautiful?" how could that not make me smile?

My mom had came over after work today to just let me vent to.  I really needed that.  Right before my mom was leaving Allyson somehow fell and hit her mouth against one of the dining room chairs. Poor baby wouldn't let me see where the blood was coming from. She didn't want any ice or a teether. She is now the proud owner of a puffy lip.

My mom thought we needed pictures of the event :) what a good Nannie!

For Christmas I got Conrad this super fun remote control helicopter!

Before Aubrey went to bed tonight Conrad flew it around the playroom for a bit. I'm not sure who has more fun Conrad or Aubrey.

Look at all those toys. It looks like a day care threw up in our playroom doesn't it?

Both girls are in bed now and now little baby Paulsen is awake and moving up a storm! :) That's how it always works though, right? Tonight is definitely an early bed time.

New Years Resolutions

It's that time of the year. People make lists of things they want to do or stop doing, and by the end of January that list is forgotten about. I'm guilty of this. I have a list of things I would like to do. I've thought about these things for awhile now so hopefully it sticks.

1. I want to start a prayer journal for my kids & actually write in it. I feel like such a school girl writing that. I will write in my diary everyday. lol.

2. I will learn to use my camera in settings other than automatic.

3. Get organized & stay organized.

Easy enough right? I have a few things pinned on Pinterest to help me with some of my goals.
What are some of your resolutions?

CHRISTmas 2011

I think I will be caught up after this post, now to keep it up.

Christmas was quite an experience. Allyson woke up from 3-3:30 then 5:30 and then again at 6 and I came out and tried to get her to go back to sleep with me on the couch but by 6:30 there was no keeping this girl asleep. She must have been so excited to see her presents right? Nope it seems like she's getting 2 1/2 molars. Lovely!

Opening up her stocking

We read the Polar Express for the first time this year and since then Aubrey has wanted Santa to bring her a Silver bell from his sleigh. What a good Santa Claus because he brought her one.

This pretty much sums up the way Allyson felt on Christmas.

Look what Santa brought!

Allyson wanted nothing to do with taking a picture near Aubrey

I was really excited to branch out of the automatic mode on my camera and use the shutter priority. I can actually capture Aubrey and Allyson's surprised faces while opening gifts. So much fun!!

A smile from my snotty faced little monster.

Around lunch time we went over to Amma's to exchange gifts.

Who needs toys when you can play with the plastic packaging??

Thanks Amma for the noisiest toy in the world!

Tissue paper = fun!

This girl loves to be tossed up high. I'm sure if she could talk she would say "higher Daddy higher!"

Remote control truck from Uncle Cody

She loooooves her doll house!

Merry Christmas!!

Gingerbread Houses

Friday we went over to Amma's house to make gingerbread houses!!

Aubrey and Amma made one together, Auntie Candice made one, I made one and Uncle Cody made one.

The finished houses minus Cody's because he was still working on it when I left.

Aubrey & Amma's house

Mommy's boring house. I had a little a girl who wasnt happy unless I was holding her or sitting on the floor while she played.

Auntie Candice's house

It was fun & a lot harder than I thought to think of ideas. I have a whole year to think and find ideas and next year my house will be awesome!! Wishfully thinking I'll have a 9 month old that will need me and a 2 year old. Maybe in a few years I will be able to make an awesome house.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve morning we had breakfast at Papa and Nana's house. We got to see all of the work that they have done around the house, which looks really nice by the way!

After breakfast we got to open gifts. Aubrey has been looking forward to opening some kind of present so she was thrilled when she saw hers!

Allyson was pretty content playing on the step. Up the step, down the step didn't get tired of it.

It's a Rapuntzel foldable table. She told Papa and Nana almost 2 months ago this is what she wanted. YAY now she has a place to color and do stuff in her playroom and not my table, bonus for mommy :)

Someone wasn't happy that she couldn't help aka open everyone else's gifts.

Nana and Allyson opening her present
It was a foam farm book and it has pieces that come out, it's really cute!

A zoo train!
She really enjoys playing with this. It makes music and it moves. She will sit there and just dance to the music.

Helping Nana

So trying to take a nice picture of a 4 year old and one year old isn't that easy.

Papa and the girls

Then add in a 2 year old ... and it's over. I think this is the best that we got.

That evening Aubrey and Ally got to open another gift. I wonder what it could have been...

Christmas jammies!!

Aubrey wanted me to write a note for Santa and she signed her name.

Of course the cookies and milk had to go on her new table! Score!!
