Baby Food - Squash

I have been having this itch... I want to make Allyson's baby food, or at least attempt it. So that's what I did. It was so incredibly easy!! I think we are going to start Allybug off with rice cereal and then butternut squash.

Slice it in half

Scoop out all the junk
Bake for 45-60 minutes until soft
Puree and freeze

It's incredibly lame how excited I was to make that. I'm looking forward to feeding Allyson and pureeing more veggies.

Wearing Pink for Spring for SIDS

Yesterday my sweet little girls put on their pink and their pink bow to support Spring for SIDS. Don't they look so cute??

This is for you Maddie & Macie! Go Team M!!

I've been following the blogs of two women who had the absolute worst thing happen to them. Their precious little girls were suddenly taken from them due to SIDS. Their mothers are both raising money and awareness about SIDS. After reading these blogs and just the heartache these women feel... I hug both my girls tighter at night and thank Jesus for each and every day that he gives me with my little princesses.

Speaking of princesses ...
Yesterday was also the royal wedding ... oh la la la ... We didn't watch it, we don't have cable otherwise I probably would have. Miss Allyson woke up early enough to watch. So I thought she could not only wear pink BUT where her Queen of the Castle onesie AND her princess binky. I know you just want to squeeze her huh??

Show US Your Life - How You Stay Organized

Ugghh!! I am not organized at all. I like to pretend that I am.

I put events & appointments on my calendar on my phone. That's probably as far as it goes for organization.

I like to start lists. I never complete what's done on the list.

I have coupons that are in a one of those neat little organizers ... most are expired.

I have things in piles on the counter which drives my husband INSANE. The piles make no sense but makes sense to me.

I love those plastic bins. I just need to have a ton more than I have.

ugh I would kill to be organized ... any tips? Someone want to come over and organize my house. I feel like that's half my problem. I need someone to start a system for me. Do the hard work and I can maintain it. Any takers?

Show US Your Life - Reading List

I just started reading Bringing Up Girls by Dr. James Dobson.

I'm really enjoying reading this book. I feel like I have learned so much. I totally recommend this book. I have learned so much about how to raise my girls and even about myself.

Cleaning Schedule

I am horrible when it comes to cleaning. Horrible!! I go days without cleaning anything with the exception of dishes and the laundry then I spend a whole day cleaning the house. It's a horrible habit I started when I was pregnant then carried over to after Allyson was born. I can't seem to snap out of it. The last few days I've seen so many blogs and articles about cleaning, I'm thinking that's God giving me a nudge and telling me I need to get out of my funk.

This is one of the blogs I came across. So much good information.

I'm going to spend some time looking at my days and planning what I need to do to get this house back in order. I'm sure my husband would really like that.

Love Modesto

Modesto doesn't have the best reputation ...

... Laci Peterson & Scott Peterson

... Gary Condit & Chandra Levy

... most miserable city

... #1 city for stolen cars

Doesn't sound like a place you want to move your family to right?

Love Modesto started a few years ago. Showing people that we are a great community with amazing people. There are many different projects that people can help out with and serve within our community.
