Halloween

Happy Halloween!!

Here is my little ballerina Aubrey

My favorite picture of her!!

Mom we forgot the lip gloss. Yes I put make up on her. She thought it was so neat to be wearing make up. She was just too adorable!

We went to Family Fun Night at our church. Lots of games and candy.

I'm so thankful that my Mom came along with me. I don't think that I could have done it. At almost 40 weeks pregnant I was just exhausted watching my Mom and Aubrey. After every game Aubrey would ask if she could eat a piece of candy.

It's Allyson and Piper - BFF's since the beginning

What a great night!!

We had such a fun night!!

39 weeks and Appointment Update

I had my NST and 39 week appointment yesterday and well let’s say I didn’t leave happy. NST went like the last one. Little Miss Ally didn’t want to move for the longest time then BAM!! She went nuts.

Next I had my appointment. . . Allyson is measuring 38 weeks. Her heart rate is great. Looked at my blood sugars ... doing wonderful. She asked if I wanted to be checked and I did because I had be bouncing on the exercise ball, I went walking, and even danced my butt off with Aubrey. DR checked and a big fat NO CHANGE. Still closed and thick. So since Ally is doing great and my sugars are where they need to be and my cervix hasn’t changed she still doesn’t want to schedule an induction. This was heartbreaking to me. I am so over being pregnant. I’m ready to meet this little girl. I know Conrad and Aubrey are ready to meet her. I know that they aren’t scheduling it because it is what’s best, and they are looking out for my health and Allyson’s but it just stinks.

I think I cried for a good 2 hours yesterday. I don’t know what upset me the most. Having not made any progress after trying. Having to wait longer to meet her. Being told that I wouldn’t go past my due date and yet I have another doctor’s appointment ON MY DUE DATE. I’m mad that I have to continue this silly GD diet. I guess I was hoping/thinking that even with no progress they would set a date for November 5th or November 8th.

It is a horrible tease looking around the house and seeing her cute room, wanting to sit and rock with her on the glider, walking by her bassinet in our room, the pack n play in the living room and her car seat it’s all just staring at me. I can’t wait to see what she looks likes. Will she have blue eyes like Conrad and Aubrey, will they be green like mine? Will she look like Aubrey when she was born? Will she be a good baby? Will I be able to nurse. All these things that I felt like were going to be answered sometime within the next 7 days ... or have a date set. . But I am thankful that she is growing well and I’m doing good.

Weight: 162 pounds

Blood Pressure: 122/74 (highest it’s been)

Baby’s Heart rate: 140

Measuring: 38 weeks

How far along: 39 weeks and 1 day

Next appointment: Another NST on Tuesday. DR appt on Thursday

Any new aches/pains: I’m just DONE being pregnant. I have pressure in my pelvis. It hurts to walk or stand.

Sleep: I really can’t complain too much. I’m only getting up once to go to the bathroom. It’s uncomfortable yes but not horrible.

Best moment this week: I made cookies with Aubrey last night and had a few ... ohhh they were good!!!

Movement: Lots and lots. Especially at night, she is going to be our little night owl.

Labor signs: A few contractions here and there.

What I’m looking forward to this week: I can’t wait to take Aubrey to the Halloween Harvest Festival at church on Sunday. She’s going to be a ballerina and she is going to be sooo adorable!!

NST appointment

This morning was my NST appointment at my OB's office. My precious little girl did not want to cooperate ... yes I'm talking about Allyson!! I was hooked up to the machine and NOTHING. She must have been sleeping. I tried poking my belly, nothing. Then I was pushing on my belly and I get a lovely little kick back and then nothing. She must have been saying "Mom I'm trying to sleep." They came in a checked the paper and of course nothing had happen so I laid for a little while longer, and a part of me started to panic just a teeny tiny bit. I don't know what happens if she doesn't move or her heart rate doesn't get to where it needs to be. After my mini attack she started moving and kicking and doing just fine. The nurse came in, checked out the readings and we were good to go!

My next NST is on Thursday, followed by my regular appointment. Hopefully I will receive some good news!!

And just for fun ...

Movement: Constantly!! As I type this I think she is trying to bust out of my belly on my right side.

Labor signs: Just a few contractions here and there.

Food cravings: I made chocolate chip cookies and had some... I gave in to the craving. It was A-MAZING.

What I’m looking forward to this week: Looking forward to my doctor's appointment. I am hoping that there will be be some sort of progress and we can schedule my induction or this girl will come on her own.

38 week appointment with new OB

So today I had an appointment at the new OB office today. I went in and the OB came in and reviewed my chart with me, we went over some of my stuff with my GD. I told her how my old OB felt about my GD and inducing and what she thinks? She looked at my chart and said that we could induce at 39 weeks, which is next week!! She says that she is going to call the hospital and set it up for next Thursday or Friday depending on what's open. In the meantime she wants me to have NSTs done twice a week. The do it there at the office and I went into the room and did the NST. The nurse comes in and says that the DR would like to check me to make sure my cervix is favorable.

I go into the room and she comes in and tells me that she noticed I haven't been checked and would like to check me to see that's cervix is favorable that way it doesn't end up as a c-section. I had been having contractions so I thought something would be happening ... NOTHING. Cervix is closed and thick ... so no induction next week. She said doesn't like her GD patients to go past there due date, so we will be having an NST Tuesday and a regular appointment Thursday and see if anything has changed and go from there.

I know it's all for the best but it just stinks!! I thought for sure something ... ANYTHING. I had been having some contractions and lots of pressure. I thought for sure a little teeny tiny something.

The good news is that LO is head down. So I am hoping something happens with the full moon tonight!

Blood Pressure: 117/68

Weight: 161 pounds

Baby's Heart Rate: in the 140's

Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday was finally the day that Aubrey has been waiting for my entire pregnancy.

We went to the

PUMPKIN PATCH

We had a great time at the Resendiz Family Fruit Barn.

Aubrey had fun feeding the fishies, planting broccoli, seeing the animals, tasting treats from the bakery and of course picking out a pumpkin.

How about this one, Mom?

My favorite pic!

Ally's first trip to the pumpkin patch. She's an honorary farmer!

After the pumpkin patch I had my lovely OB appointment. I dropped Aubrey off at Kathy's house so she could watch her while I had my appointment. I was hugging Aubrey and telling her I was going to the DR and would pick her up soon. My lovely little girl looks at me and says

"Are you going to go push Ally out now??"

Kathy and I just laughed. She knew that little Ally would be here after our trip to the pumpkin patch and well it was after. I wish it was that easy!!

38 weeks appointment

I had my regular OB appointment yesterday. I was hoping to get checked out and see if there is any kind of progress going on. Then the Nurse Practitioner walks in and I knew that I wouldn't be getting checked out today. Baby girl is measuring 39 weeks everything is looking good. She mentions to me that the DR isn't in the office and I knew that right? NO!!

Long story short is that he had surgery to remove some cancer and isn't going to be in the office until late November, early December. DR will not be delivering my Allyson. So I am being referred to another OB here in town and I have an appointment with her on Friday. Hopefully I will get something.

The NP also has my due date as 11/2 so as of today I'm 38 weeks!! YAY :) I don't know when that changed.

Now I just wait for Friday and see what happens at this new office.

blood pressure: 112/65
weight: 158 pounds. Down one from last week
baby's heart rate: in the 140's and doing just perfect!

Tennis Time

We took Aubrey out last weekend to play tennis. She did a pretty good job. She had SOOO much fun.

Daddy throwing the ball for her

Her favorite part of playing??

Chasing after the balls.

2nd favorite thing?

Throwing the balls to Daddy to hit, so she could chase them

Third? Water break. She probably took 20 breaks for water in 30 minutes.

My little tennis superstar!

37 weeks and 2 days

How far along: 37 weeks and 2 days

Next appointment: tuesday

Any new aches/pains: I think that Allyson is dropping. I have had a lot of pressure down there. My legs also feel like I've been riding a horse for the last week.

Sleep: I had a week of really really good sleep. This last week ... not so good. I'm uncomfortable and hot.

Best moment this week: Finishing Allyson's nursery - FINISHED!!!

Movement: When isn't there movement?

Labor signs: Thursday night I went to bed at about 11:30 and was having contractions that were about 10 minutes apart. I waited for them to get closer or stronger, nothing after about 2 hours they went away.

Food cravings: I want donuts. Donuts with chocolate sprinkles, glazed donuts, sugar donuts, a cinnamon roll ... shoot I don't care just a donut!

What I miss: I miss my sleep!!

What I’m looking forward to this week: Looking forward going to the pumpkin patch with Aubrey. Allyson needs to hold off on coming until after mommy and sissy go on Tuesday. I'm really looking forward to doing this with Aubrey.

DR Appt - 37 weeks

I had my 37 weeks appointment today. I didn't see the OB which was weird. So I didn't get checked which I am kinda bummed about because I was hoping for some kind of progress. I saw the NP. Everything is looking good. No mention of induction, which is upsetting. I'm so done being pregnant. I know this is a 40 week deal and yes I have 3 more weeks to go. That doesn't help the fact that I want her here NOW!! I'm done being uncomfortable during the day, not being able to sleep, having to pee constantly, watching what I eat, when I eat and poking my fingers. When I got diagnosed with the GD being induced early (even if it was a week!) was like my one little thing to look forward to. I know they mentioned that I wouldn't go past my due date ... but isn't that something that can be scheduled now? To have a date right now would feel great. If Allyson doesn't come on her own she will be here on X day. I got nothing! I guess I should have asked but again I saw the NP not the OB ... *sigh* Drama I know. Good thing I can blame it on my hormones :)

Here are my stats from the appointment

Blood Pressure: 110/65
Weight: 159 up two pound from 2 weeks ago
Baby's heart rate: in the 130's then up to 140

Everything is looking good! And for that I am thankful!

36 weeks

How far along: 36 weeks - one week until little allyson will be considered full term.

Next appointment: next wednesday

Any new aches/pains: my hips are hurting me. It feels like i've been riding a horse or doing the splits.

Sleep: for some reason I have been sleeping really really well the last 3 days or so.

Best moment this week: Painting the letters for allyson's room. doing the last minute things.

Movement: This little girl is a mover. I really think that she is going to be a night owl though. Daddy and allyson will be staying up late together.

Labor signs: I have been having contractions. nothing too strong or even regular. the doctor said to keep taking it easy until i hit 37 weeks and then she is good and ready to come out. YAY!

Food cravings: it's the same thing. I want candy corn, chocolate, just about anything that I can't have.

What I’m looking forward to this week: mops was this morning. bunco is tonight wahoo!!

Hello October!

I have never been so happy to flip the calendar. I am thinking we are going to meet our little pumpkin this month!
