35 week appointment

Today's appointment was more eventful than past appointment. I have been having irregular contractions since Sunday. I have been trying to keep off my feet and drinking lots of water. I mentioned it to the Nurse Practitioner. She said that's exactly what I need to be doing, keeping off my feet. Modified bed rest. My next appointment I will be seeing the OB. She said he will talk about inducing because of my gestational diabetes. (I'm so excited knowing that I won't be late like I was with Aubrey.) My appointment lasted longer than 5 minutes. :)

Allyson is doing great. She's moving around, kicking up a storm. She is measuring at 36 weeks. Everything is looking great!

Weight: 157 - up one pound from 2 weeks ago
Blood Pressure: I can't remember what it was for the life of me but I remember that it was good.
Baby's heart rate: in the 140's

Baby Shower for Allyson

My baby shower for Allyson was Saturday. I had such a great time with family and friends. Candice and Kathy did such an AMAZING job. I am sooo blessed.

Yummy cake made by Kathy

My wonderful sister in law did a great job of getting food that fit into my GD diet. There snacks were great, the candy was sugar free. She is awesome.

Aubrey and her BFF Cianna

The dirty diaper game

Allyson got a lot of cute clothes, fun toys and other baby items.
I really feel blessed.

I ♥ my big sister bib - LOVE it!!

I'm stuffed bib - perfect!!

Aubrey, Cianna and Madison

Aubrey was so done taking pictures, she didn't want to smile any more

My glider and ottoman from Kathy

I spent today washing Ally's clothes and getting her room cleaned up and organized. Aubrey and I had so much fun putting the clothes in the drawers, hanging up the bigger sizes and Aubrey loved trying out Allyson's toys.

Food cravings: sugary food that I can't have Brownies, cookies, candy.

What I miss: Sugary food.

Things to do before Allyson arrival

I feel like I have a lot to do before Ally's arrival. I know that there really isn't much.

  • Our baby shower is next Saturday, I am so excitied for this. My friends are going to be there. A friend that I haven't seen in FOREVER is coming. It's going to be great. Candice and Kathy are throwing it. I just can't wait.
  • Thank you's sent out
  • Need to buy and install Allyson's car seat. That's going to be so weird. I think we are going to have to move Aubrey behind the drivers seat. It's just going to be a such a change.
  • I need to buy nursing bras.
  • I need to wash her clothes. I don't want to wash them too early ... I don't know why. I don't have a real reason. I just feel like if I wash them not I will have to re-wash them as my due date gets closer. Weird I know. I'll probably wash her clothes after my the shower on Saturday.
  • Conrad needs to put in for his time off.
  • We need to get our Flu Shots/Whooping Cough shots.
  • Pack a hospital bag for me and Ally
  • Figure out what Aubrey is going to be doing. With Kathy? With Conrad? Pack a just in case bag for her?
  • Baby Allyson to be here!
Really I guess that's all. Just feels like lots to do and I feel like it isn't time to do some of the things yet.

33 weeks ... a day late

How far along: 33 weeks

Next appointment: September 29th

Any new aches/pains: started feeling some braxton hicks on tuesday.

Sleep: I sleep so horrible at night. If i'm not hot, then i'm uncomfortable. If I am asleep i'm about to wake up because *surprise* I have to pee and then can't fall asleep. all while my lovely husband sleeps peaceful which makes it harder for me to fall asleep because I'm wondering how on earth is he sleeping while I'm moving around, getting out of bed. Isn't he hot underneath all of those blankets??

Best moment this week:

Movement: allyson is one busy little girl. She is moving around so much.

Labor signs: none

Food cravings: I'm going to start a list of things that I want to have after ally is born. Right now at the top is Starbucks... ohhhh all the yummy drinks they have ... starbucks is my craving right now.

What I miss: I miss sleeping on my belly.

What I’m looking forward to this week: tonight is a mom's night out for mops ... bunco bunco bunco!!

Miss Moody

Aww this little girl . . .

She can be such a stinker and then say or do the funniest thing and it will melt my heart and make it all worth it. Aubrey was in some sort of mood today. I don't know if it was her allergies bugging her or if she was just being a 3 year old. She was a mess today. Whined, cried and threw a couple fits. Thankfully she took a nap and woke up in a wonderful mood. We had a nice evening together. She's eating frozen yogurt in the picture. We took a nice walk together afterwards. Bath and then it was bedtime for my little princess. Can't wait to see what tomorrow holds for us.

Fun with Chalk

Yesterday after our evening walk Aubrey thought it would be fun to play with her 3D chalk. She was able to draw lots of things. She drew a snail, the sun, and Daddy.

She did an amazing job drawing Daddy too. He has a whole face complete with "big ears". She drew long legs Aubrey even gave Daddy fingers.
I'm so impressed with her skills. She's getting so much better.

My cutie pie

Labor Day

Aubrey and I have big plans for today.... NOTHING!

We made a quick trip to Target today with my sisters. The girls had a coupon for Kohl's so of course we had to go there. I stopped and looked in the baby section. SO much cute stuff, I wish I could buy it ALL. They had the *cutest* Thanksgiving outfits, but didn't have a newborn size.

I did however do some online shopping on Friday. Carters is having a Labor Day Sale with a 40% off coupon. How could I resist? I found a few cute Little Sister outfits for Allyson. They are A-dorable!! They have a Little Sister onesie that matches Aubrey's Big Sis shirt. I cannot wait for them to wear them.

Today is also my last day taking the medicine for the Bell's Palsy. It has made such a difference but I can tell that my smile isn't the same as it used to be. I'm not sure what's going to happen. If I will need another medicine. Or wait until Ally's born and see what happens. It's been messing up my blood sugar levels in the afternoon. So we will see what happens.

Photo Friday

Here is my picture from today. Aubrey can just crack me up. She asked me to help her put her pink hat on this morning. I asked her why she needs to wear it. Apparently she's going to beach and the hat will help keep the sun out of her eyes. She has the net to scoop up crabs. She's wearing her gloves so she doesn't get pinched, because that's what crabs do! Her boots?? Just because she likes them. I LOVE her!! Little things like this make all the tough stuff worth it!!

31 weeks

I really can't believe that it's Thursday already and time to take a belly pic. This pregnancy is going by so much faster than with Aubrey. WOW!!

How far along: 31 weeks today!

Next appointment: September 15 - they are every two weeks now

Any new aches/pains: new pains? This diabetes diet is a pain. It isn't the eating of the food. for me it is the planning. Can't just open up the refriderator and pick whatever sounds good. It's making healthier choices, which I know is good for both ally and me. Plus conrad is doing it too. So it really helps.

Sleep: last night I slept wonderful. I hope it happens again tonight!

Best moment this week: mops started back up this week yay!!

Movement: all of the time!! now it's been pretty bad she will move and it will be like all of a sudden I have to run to the bathroom or i'm going to pee in my pants!!

Labor signs: none thankfully.

Food cravings: anything sugary sweet.

What I miss: anything sugary and sweet

I was feeling brave enough to take a picture of me this week. I took it and stared at it for awhile and debated about putting it up, i have been feeling self conscience about the way I look. i decided to just go for it. here it is!

31 week check up

Had a great DR's appointment this morning!! They got to see my face for the Bell's Palsy and said it looks better than they were thinking so they are going to wait on any other meds. It was nice to hear that. DR said that Allyson is measuring right on track. My next appointment is in 2 weeks. I really can't believe that we are down to the 2 week appointments!! My little princess will be here before we know it!
