26 weeks

How far along: 26 weeks

Next appointment: august 11

Any new aches/pains: my back is the only thing that gives me trouble. It doesn't start hurting until mid-afternoon evening.

Sleep: between having to get up to pee, being hot and not being able to get comfortable . . . sleep and I are not very close friends

Movement: i am convinced that little allyson is really planning her escape. She is moving around so much and she is kicking down there . . . like she is wanting to come out. At least she doesn't have her foot in my rib like her big sister did.

Food cravings: oreos!! I could eat those delicious cookies all day long.

Belly Button: it pops out when i am standing up. I'm really scared to see what it looks like at 34 or even 40 weeks. kind of a scary thought !!!

What I miss: feeling cool. I'm always always hot!!! Being pregnant in the summer . . . not my cup of tea.

25 weeks

How far along: 25 weeks

Next appointment: August 11th is just a routine Dr appointment. I have my gestational diabetes test on august 3rd.

Any new aches/pains: nothing new. My back just starts to hurt at night.

Sleep: I'm sleeping okay at night. It seems like no matter how low the ac is set i'm so hot at night which makes it hard to sleep. once I finally do get some sleep then it's time to pee!

Best moment this week: having the doctor say that everything was perfect

Movement: Allyson moves around like crazy. I love feeling her move and kick. Yesterday at the dr's she was moving all around while they were trying to measure things.

Food cravings: fresh fruit and chocolate.

Belly Button: it's flat and I'm really really hoping it stays that way.

What I miss: having normal emotions.

DR Appt

Today I had an appointment with the perinatologist and the cardiologist. First we had a ultrasound to check Allyson's growth. She is doing just perfect. She weighs 1 pound 11 ounces. She was busy moving around through the ultrasound. They measured the amniotic fluid and it's right where it needs to be. Everything is right where it needs to be. The tech asked if I knew what this little one's gender was and I replied a girl. While doing the ultrasound she said oh she is totally totally a girl. No question there.

Next we saw the cardiologist who looked at her heart. I am amazed at what they can see. They checked out her chambers, the valves ... and he said that her heart is beautiful.

Overall it was a great appointment. They said since they see nothing wrong, she's growing and doing her thing that I don't need to come back.

Next on the list of things to come Gestational Diabetes Glucose test and then a routine ultrasound for my DR's office.

Camping Trip

Friday we headed up to Herring Creek for our camping trip. Conrad, Aubrey and I went up there with Kathy and Cody.

Aubrey and Daddy before everyone got all dirty.

Relaxing in the hammock with Amma. There were a lot of giggles, laughs and yelling going on while they were in the hammock. Aubrey was pointing out all the things that were "Kitchy".

Some things that are kitchy:
The creek
birds
flowers
hammock
rocks
monkeys
blue jays
Amma
Daddy
Mommy

NOT Kitchy:
Candles
sharks
towels

We had lots of fun with this new word this weekend.

Aubrey's 3 year old attitude is starting to come out. She decided that she didn't want her picture taken.
"No Mom"

Aubrey asked to wear one of the walkie talkies because she's a police woman. The things that this kid says just makes me smile. She had fun wearing it and talking to whoever would talk to her.

Our campsite had a lot of rocks and Aubrey had a blast climbing on them and jumping off. It's such a change from last year where she had just turned 2 and would not have been able to do half of the climbing and jumping she did.

Beautiful flowers while we were walking to the reservoir. I couldn't help but be amazed at my surrounding. God is so amazing. To think that He created all of this.

Conrad, Cody and Aubrey took the boat over to a little island so Aubrey could go in the water.
This picture is probably one of my favorites of the weekend. This looks like such a sweet moment shared between father and daughter. It just makes my heart melt.

Camping wouldn't be complete without SMORES!!! She had a great time from start to finish. Finding a stick to roast them on. Holding it over the fire and of course eating them.

One happy little camper!

On our way home. Shortly after this picture she was passed OUT!!

I admit I had a lots of laughs and fun this weekend. I did get eaten alive by mosquitos. I couldn't wait to get home and take a shower put on some clean clothes and sleep in my own bed. Was not as bad as I thought. Now next year with a 4 year old and a 6 month old ... we will see :)

Photo Friday

I have been pretty horrible at posting pics on Fridays. Part of it is I'm lazy, I don't have time, and I don't know what picture to pick for OLD photo so I think we are going to change it to Photo Friday. Might help a little :)

So since we are currently in the mountain for our annual camping trip, I thought I would post some pictures from Aubrey's first camping trip in 2008

This was the first five minutes we were there

Look at those cheeks!! and what little teeth she has... AWW!!!

24 weeks down, 16 to go!

Things are finally starting to settle down around here. We are unpacked except for 2 boxes, the pictures need to be hung up, Aubrey's room needs to be decorated and I want to start little miss Allyson's room soon.

How far along: 24 weeks

Next appointment: An appointment with the perinatologist on the 21st.

Any new aches/pains: My back has been hurting lately

Sleep: I'm really surprised at how well I have been able to sleep. I only wake up once to go pee at night. Ally gets all her moving around down before I go to bed so it works out perfectly.

Best moment this week: Conrad FINALLY FINALLY felt her kick for sure. She started kicking more to my right side and she gave a good kick and felt it.

Movement: She moves around like crazy throughout the day but after 7 or 8 ish is when she wakes up. Kicks and rolls for a good hour and then must be tired from all that moving goes back to sleep.

Food cravings: Pretty much just food in general. I've been getting so hungry late at night. Come 9PM I'm ready for a second dinner so I usually settle for a snack.

Belly Button: It's beginning to pop out :( I'm scared to see what it's going to look like in a few months.

What I’m looking forward to this week: We go to the perinatologist to have an ultrasound and we will get to see our little girl again. Can't wait to see how big she is.

23 weeks

What a busy few days/weeks it's been. I'm so happy to be finished with moving. We gained a family room, another bedroom, larger garage, and a bigger backyard. I can't wait to start working on Allyson's room. I have been looking at some bedding sets... I'll save that for another post though

How far along: 23 weeks

Next appointment: Monday July 12, 2010

Any new aches/pains: Just occasional back pains.

Sleep: I've been sleeping well. I've just been HOT at night. Gotta love being pregnant in the summer.

Best moment this week: Moving in to the new house. Being completely out of the old house.

Movement: LOTS!! Little Ally likes to move around in the evening. At about 7pm she is on the move. She moves a lot until about 10ish. She seems to get hiccups at night too.

Food cravings: Nothing new.

Belly Button: It's still flat hopefully it will stay flat.

What I miss:

What I’m looking forward to this week: Going away to a MOPS retreat Friday night. ALWAYS fun with my MOPS Mommas!!

Weekly wisdom: Moving while pregnant sucks!!

Fourth of July celebration - Part 1

We had lots of fun this 4th of July

We went to the parade in the morning.

Aubrey with her Fourth of July pinwheel

Mommy and Aubrey

Nannie and Aubrey

We had a wonderful time watching the service men and women, horses, the clowns, the local businesses, football players, dance teams and Operation Christmas Child. My favorite besides service men and woman that made our freedom happen was Operation Christmas Child.

More pictures of the day to come.

New Room, New Bed

New house, new changes.

Aubrey moved into a big bed!! It's always been the plan that the crib was going to be used for our next baby. I never really realized that meant Aubrey would just be moving into a bigger girl stuff. I am both happy and sad about it.

She loves it. She has done so well the last few days. I am so proud of her!!!
